The curious public, the diligent connaisseur and the experienced expert of wine, cinema and photography, will gather to share their passion during the Ascension day week-end (2-5 june, 2011) in Arbois. A deep and emotional journey into the heart of the world of cinematographic production focused on revealing the cultural and historical richness of grape and wine. The festival is an unique opportunity for all those who wish to share and discover in a friendly gathering in the exceptional setting of the historical wine city of Arbois and its vineyards.


The programme: projection, in the exceptional setting of the old Collegial Notre-Dame, of 30 nominated films (out of 98 films from 17 countries in competition) and a great number of film formats (documentaries, fictions, in short or full length films). Altogether, more than 15 hours original pictures from the whole world : Germany, Chile, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Russia, Uruguay, the USA, Switzerland. The president of the Grand Jury 2011 will be Yves Omer, script-writer, expert in underwater pictures within the Cousteau team.


Terroirs d’images: more than 1500 works from 168 amateur or professional photographers from 18 countries were in competition for the 6th International Photo Exhibit on Grape and Wine. These photographs, all about the theme "Trees & woods, from vine to cellar" will be exhibited in the splendid Ursuline brood (Hall Town Cellar) in Arbois until the 30 of june. The exhibition opening day will be on Thursday the 2nd of June at 12h.
